Background: The global prevalence of stunting is 22.3%, while Indonesia's prevalence is 31%. The 2022 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI) reported prevalences of 24.5% in West Nusa Tenggara and 34.03% in West Lombok. The high burden of stunting in the Labuapi Primary Health Center area highlights the need to assess postnatal determinants.
Objective: To examine the association between postnatal factors and stunting among children aged 6-24 months in the Labuapi Primary Health Center area.
Methods: This cross-sectional analytical study included 110 children aged 6–24 months selected by consecutive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and anthropometric measurements.
Results: The prevalence of stunting was 20,0% (22 children). Bivariate analysis showed that early initiation of breastfeeding (EIBF) (p = 1,000), exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0,914), complementary feeding practices (p = 1,000), timely immunization (p = 0,495), complete immunization (p = 0,405), vitamin A supplementation (p = 0,727), recurrent acute respiratory infections (p = 0,189), recurrent diarrhea (p = 0,732), water and sanitation (p > 0,05) were not significant risk factors for stunting.
Conclusion: None of the postnatal determinants evaluated were found to be significant risk factors for stunting.
