GAME PEMBELAJARAN EKSPRESI DAN EMOSI WAJAH UNTUK ANAK AUTIS

Abstract

Autistic Spectrum Disorder adalah istilah yang digunakan untuk jenis gangguan perkembangan pervasif pada anak yang mengakibatkan gangguan/keterlambatan pada bidang kognitif, bahasa, perilaku, komunikasi dan interaksi sosial. Salah satu gejala dari Autism adalah sulit untuk mengekspresikan diri dan memahami ekspresi orang lain. Pada penelitian ini, dibangun sebuah game yang bertujuan untuk membantu anak autis dalam mengenal berbagai macam jenis ekspresi emosi wajah.  Game dibangun dengan pendekatan MDA framework. Game yang dibangun terdiri dari 3 mode permainan yang dapat disesuaikan dengan tingkatan autis pada anak. Dari hasil pengujian, anak autis menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman materi setelah menggunakan game yang dibangun. Hasil pengujian observational menunjukkan adanya ketertarikan pada anak autis saat menggunakan game ini.
