Abstract

Amidst the fluctuations in computer
component prices brought about by the Covid-19
pandemic, a comprehensive analysis platform has
been developed to address this challenge. This
innovative platform harnesses historical data
sourced from prominent e-commerce platforms such
as Shopee, Blibli, and Tokopedia, presenting users
with insightful average price graphs categorized by
component series and types. The research
methodology adopted follows a prototype approach,
encompassing meticulous phases ranging from
needs analysis, application design, prototyping,
testing, evaluation, prototype refinement, through to
implementation and ongoing maintenance. The
successful implementation of this system, powered by
the Python programming language, features robust
functionalities including product search and
dynamic graphical representations derived from
historical data. The data retrieval process, utilizing
the Scraping method, occurs at regular intervals on
a weekly basis. Upon meticulous analysis of
historical data spanning from January to July 2022,
a noteworthy trend emerged, highlighting that
Shopee and Tokopedia consistently offer computer
components at relatively more affordable prices
compared to Blibli. The conclusive findings of this
research underscore the platform's efficacy in
providing an essential tool for users navigating the
complex landscape of computer component price
dynamics, particularly in the unprecedented context
of the ongoing pandemic. This platform not only
facilitates monitoring but also empowers users with
valuable insights crucial for informed purchasing
decisions based on stable and budget-friendly pricing
structures.
